| Customer Reviews: 5/5 stars (When you find it on sale) July 3, 2010 MoZirry (st. louis) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you find this jacket on sale pick it up, bottom line! I am reviewing this for my wife, and also because I just picked up the "male" version of this jacket as well.
Wife absolutely loves this jacket and uses it year round. I absolutely agree with the other sizing comments, my wife is normally a size "small", but when I held it up in the store it looked like a child's jacket so I opted for the much larger size "Medium" and that seemed much more reasonable by eyeballing it. Lo and behold the Medium was just enough and if anything we could have gone bigger.
This jacket has seen all types of action, and yes it does serve the purpose of being waterproof. Not so sure if the omni-tech fabric is 100% even in an extreme downpour, but not alot of things are considering water always finds a way in. Jacket is passable for cold weather if you do some proper layering underneath, as it does a nice job breaking the cold wind. We always take this jacket hiking with us and it is comfortable for her to wear while on w/ a backpack (when we were up high in the Smokies) or if stuffed into her sack. It has also seen alot of abuse on the seams w/ a backpack full of books on walks from a parking garage to college classes and it seems to be holding up just fine, no visible wear & tear.
Last but not least, I am very happy with the way the jacket fits. Wife looks absolutely great in it, with a sporty/slim build, the jacket shapes well to her specific body type without turning into a shapeless blob/flowy tent.
I believe I've seen this jacket everywhere, so you could always try it on in a store and then purchase at Amazon later. It can be had for a great price when shopping out of season. I can see it being a difficult purchase at full price as there is lots of competition at that price level.
Nice Jacket April 6, 2010 Little Ann (Flint, MI USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I must say this jacket is really nice. The jacket is true to its size. It has been coming in handy for cool and rainy days.
Waterproof and lightweight but runs small March 23, 2010 a viewer (USA) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a casual lightweight rain jacket and the colors I ordered are as shown. Water beads up and rolls off, and the hood has a small visor that helps keep rain off your face without having to carry an umbrella. The jacket is thin and lined only with mesh or nylon. It blocks some of the wind but is not a cold weather jacket. It runs a full size too small for misses and women, more like juniors sizing, and even ordering up a size there is only room for a fleece or thin sweater underneath. The sleeves are generous length and the jacket comes to lower hip level. There is a velcro adjustment at the wrists. The sports styling and color combinations look good. The jacket is nylon but feels a little like plastic, although the fabric is nice quality and gentle washable. Deducted a star because the sizing runs small and the regular full price is expensive for what it is. I would also like it better if it was at least mid-thigh length. At the sale price and free shipping it's a pretty jacket that does its job of keeping the rain off.
